Hi, I’ve made this recipe twice and LOVE the taste. However, both times the bread would rise so high in the oven, but as soon as I take it out to cool it deflated and middle sink down. What could’ve gone wrong? Over mixing? I did switch coconut flour to all almond flour instead. Could that be a problem? Please help as I’m anxious to make another batch. Thank you.
Sushi Nori Wraps. If you like sushi, then you’ll love using nori as a keto-friendly wrap. When you add moist ingredients to it, the nori will transform from a brittle chip to a durable, pliable wrap. What’s even better is that nori wraps have no net carbs at all and only come with ten calories per sheet. Plus, they are easy to find in the grocery store, and you can even get them shipped directly to your house (just search for Nori Wraps on Amazon).
The lemon butter sauce is quite simple: butter, lemon juice, and a little bit of garlic are melted together in a saucepan over low heat. Drizzle the sauce over the chicken pieces or divide it into small dressing containers to use once reheated. I love adding a pop of color to my dishes, no matter how simple, so I garnished the meat with chopped parsley. Cilantro would be a great garnish as well!
I followed the recipe to a tee, used all recommended ingredients. I’ve attempted making it twice, the first time I didn’t have a food processor and that was a complete fail. The second time, today, I bought a food processor and attempted it again. The egg whites were fluffy but never got to stiff peaks… maybe my eggs were too cold? Anyway, I baked for 30 mins, and it wasn’t even golden brown on the top so I didn’t put the foil on time and cooked it another 20 mins. I just pulled it out about 20 mins ago and it is golden brown. However, it is a very moist almost like a banana bread texture. I just popped it back in the oven hoping it will “dry up”. Any recommendations? Do I need to cook for and hour ?

Zucchini. If you like the crisp freshness of zucchini, then turn it into a zucchini boat. A zucchini boat is like a healthier, keto-friendly version of an open-faced sandwich. Before “Keto” I was an every week bread baker. The house always had that soothing yeast homemade bread aroma. For months I have been trying everyone’s “best” bread recipes, only to be so let down….. NOW I have that delicious taste and aroma again. This is it guys, this bread hands down is the BEST. I had no xanthum gum so I added a bit more psyllium husk, I also rounded the yeast measurements cuz I love that yeast aroma and taste. It turned out WONDERFUL!! Don’t be afraid of this one guys!
I made this the other day and it’s delicious, I’m able to slice the bread and put it in the toaster. However, my bread did not rise. I’m at high altitude and normally have to back off on leavening, but I followed the recipe as is. Do you suppose I should increase the baking powder? I’m assuming the yeast is there more for flavor, since there is no time for it to rise.
I don’t comment on recipes often. Maybe 5 times in my life. But I made this tonight, and it is some of the best chicken I’ve ever made; keto or not. One thing I changed, and one I would change next time. I noticed that the recipe called for the skin to be removed. I left the skin on half, and took it off half. I preferred it with the skin. Your mileage may vary. The thing I would change: I would cut the thyme in half next time. It was a little more prevalent than my tastes prefer. But not enough to give this any less than 5 stars!
This bread was very good. I have made many keto breads over the past 18 months and I liked the taste, texture and crumb of this one. I did include one big change in making it, though. I always keep powdered egg whites in the pantry to reduce having to find uses for dozens of yolks not utilized in keto recipes. I used a half cup of powdered whites, 1 tsp cream of tartar and 3/4 cup of warm water in my stand mixer. Beat at low speed until all the lumps are dissolved and then at high speed for 6 to 8 minutes. This produced a large bowl full of very stiff whites perfect for standing up to folding into a stiff batter. I buy the powdered eggs online for about $15. A one pound package is the equivalent of 90 non-GMO, USDA certified, USA raised eggs and always on hand. I have found over the years that these are less expensive than fresh eggs with no waste from unused yolks. They are great for meringues, puddings, cakes, etc and can be stirred into batters without reconstituting – and no separating eggs or worrying about errant yolk in the whites. My bread also cooked quicker. I placed it in a preheated 325F oven and it was light brown at 37 minutes. I tented it and 18 minutes later the interior temp was 206F. It was great toasted for breakfast the next morning and I am looking forward to French toast this week, too. Thanks for the recipe!

EXCELLENT plain ole white bread. Perfect for sandwiches, toast, french toast, grilled cheese. I’m really enjoying it. Your instructions and additional comments were spot on. I did add half of the recommended sweetener, I used Swerve, but omitted the xanthan gum and cream of tartar. Perfect consistency and taste. Trying the lemon, blueberry, zucchini bread in the next couple of days. Also will look through your recipes for a good keto seeded bread loaf. Can’t wait!
To further enhance the flavor and health benefits, this recipe uses virgin olive oil as well. Virgin olive oil contains numerous health promoting compounds. One of the most studied compounds found in the oil is a phenolic compound called oleocanthal. Multiple studies have found that oleocanthal possesses similar anti-inflammatory properties to ibuprofen, which makes virgin olive oil a great addition to the diet to help reduce acute and chronic inflammation.
Why is there Insulin in this recipe? The science behind Keto is to reduce carbs to reduce insulin release. Insulins action in the body to quickly pull energy into the cells, thus reducing blood levels of glucose. Elevated insulin means more energy gets pulled into the fat cells. Adding Insulin is the opposite of what a Keto diet means to health and weight loss, especially those with insulin resistance.

Deb, Thank you so much for leaving a comment – we’re happy to hear you enjoyed the bread! Yes, the yeast in this recipe is for aroma/flavor. Unfortunately we aren’t at high altitude so we don’t have experience baking in that way. We’ve read that it can be helpful to slightly decrease baking powder, slightly increase liquids, and increase oven temperature by 25F. Please let us know how it goes if you try the recipe with any of these changes, and sorry we couldn’t be more help with this!
I have the very same conclusion about the bread as you did. It was moist and dry at the same time. It toasted very well. I did make a couple of tweaks in the recipe. It needs twice the salt, and keto acceptable sugar. I added 1 tspn of sugar, but next time, I will use 2 tspn. I also used one egg to lighten up the denseness of the bread. I adjusted the water because of the egg.

This recipe provides a fun spin on chia pudding. Instead of it just being one flavor, we’re layering several to create a Neapolitan style dessert. First, we create the base chia seed pudding recipe.  Then we divide it up into three bowls and create the vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry flavors.  If you want to dress this up like the pictures, then layer some thinly sliced strawberries inside.  You can top with whipped cream and garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder too.  We also added ...

The best part about keto breadsticks is that they come in three different varieties, each with unique flavors and health promoting ingredients. The first keto breadstick flavor is “Italian style.” The Italian style breadstick brings you a combination of dried basil, oregano, rosemary, and thyme with their intense flavors and even more potent health benefits.
Hi Kaylee, I’ve substituted raw sunflower seeds ground dry in my bullet for almonds. I found it to taste better. Expect the color to be similar to the color of the seeds. I sub 113g sunflower seeds for every 1 cup of almond flour. As for eggs, shop around. I get pastured eggs for berween $4 to $6.50. Usually, on sale. Like this week, sprouts has buy 1get one free so that’s 2 dozens for $6.50. Even Publix to my surprise will mark down their pastture raised eggs to $3.50/dozen.
Well my Bread wasn’t tall enough for say sandwich stuff, and I am not sure if I did anything wrong, I know I used the wrong sized bread pan so that is one thing. However, I couldn’t believe how great it tasted, it was more like a moist custard shortbread. The texture and color were perfect. I cut some thick slices and buttered both sides cooked them in a pan. I spread some sugar-free preserves on top, wow is that good. I may not have made it as intended but I can’t complain. The flavor is amazing.

I would like to point out that the metric conversion of 3/4 cup to 90g coconut flour as stated in your recipe is incorrect. Should be 84g per package labeling (Bob’s Red Mill). Unfortunately I made my first batch with 90g of coconut flour, and it was definitely not “pourable”. More like scoopable. I will try again with correct amount but thought I would point so you can update the recipe. Thank you!

I was so excited about making this bread. I recently cut all grains out of my life and I’m also in the process of going gluten free because i have a lot of digestive issues. I followed the recipe precisely. Checked the temp before taking it out of oven. It looked amazing nice and golden brown. I cut into it and i couldn’t wait for that first bite. I was so disappointed it has an odd flavor I just couldnt stomach and it was very salty to me. I tried a few tiny bites with different condiments and couldn’t eat it. After reading some comments, I see it is supposed to be unsalted butter. I used salted, but why did it seem to have a bitter sour taste to it?
Made this today using my muffin top baking pan. It is perfect for sandwiches and I don’t have to cut them. That is good because my slicing ability is bad. So one batch makes 2 muffin tops. First batch emptied my coconut supply so I did another batch with double almond flour. Found that the almond flour by itself makes for a good sandwich. The batch with coconut and almond flour is sweeter, reminds me a bit of french toast, still good but not what I would like to have for a roast beef sandwich. Think it will be good with some almond butter on it.

How much weight can you lose in a week on keto

Love this recipe! I use all the optional ingredients. A tsp Monkfruit sweetener. Two Tbsp psyllium powder for the best results – firm and slices easily. Tried one without psyllium (I ran out) but it didn’t hold together as well. I wrap the loaf in a lint-free cotton towel and freeze. You don’t need a food processor. I beat the egg whites, move them to a separate bowl, then use the mixing bowl for dry ingredients and proceed. Seems to work just fine and with less cleanup. My favorite way to eat this is to toast it. Delicious, thank you!
